Refreshing salad and perfect during Strawberry season
Downsize ingredients to serve less than 12 people, if preferred.
1 large head of Romaine lettuce
1 head of Bibb lettuce
1 pint strawberries, sliced
4 oz. shredded Monterey jack cheese
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Sliced mushrooms, optional
1 c. canola oil
1/2 t. salt
3/4 c. white sugar
1/2 t. paprika
1/2 c. red wine vinegar (Heinz)
1/4 t. white pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
Wash and tear up lettuce into bite-size pieces.
Please lettuce in a salad bowl. Add strawberries, cheese, walnuts and sliced mushrooms, if using. Toss to combine.
Mix dressing ingredients. Pour over salad and toss gently when ready to serve.
