Cottage Cheese Chocolate Mousse with Chia Seeds
You'd never guess this cottage cheese chocolate mousse is loaded with protein and fiber.
This is a healthy dessert that will satisfy your sweet tooth.
Adjust recipe ingredients accordingly, to serve more than 3-4 people



Ingredients
Mousse
- 2 c. low fat cottage cheese (Daisy)
- 2 Tbls. milk (for optimal creaminess)
- 4 Tbls. cocoa powder
- 4 Tbls. maple syrup
- 1/2 t. vanilla extract
- 4 t. chia seeds
Topping Choices
- whipped cream
- vanilla yogurt
- crushed cookies
- mini chocolate chips
- nuts
- berries
- banana slices
Instructions
Add cottage cheese, milk, cocoa powder, maple syrup, chia seeds, and vanilla extract to a blender or food processor.
Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed. Pulse often until smooth. This will take 30-45 seconds.
Transfer to mini mason jars or custard cups. Cover and refrigerate for a minimum of 30-minutes or until mousse has thickened. They set up fast.
Add toppings jsut before eating and enjoy!
NOTE: Serves 4 or 8 mini jars.
