3/4 c. (1-1/2 sticks) of cold butter
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1-1/2 c. all-purpose unbleached white flour
3/4 c. powdered sugar
1/2 t. vanilla
1 to 2 Tbls. water, to desired consistency
3 eggs, beaten
1-3/4 c. sugar
1 t. vanilla
1 t. baking powder
1/3 c. all-purpose unbleached white flour
3 c. fresh rhubarb, cut fine and small
1 c. chopped walnuts
Crust: Add flour, powdered sugar and butter (cut up in chunks) to a food processor. Pulse until crumbly.
Transfer to a 9 x 13" pan and pat down to cover entire bottom of pan. Bake at 350 degrees about 12-15 minutes.
Topping:. In a large bowl, mix eggs, sugar, vanilla, baking powder and flour together; fold in rhubarb annd walnuts. Pour over crust.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
Glaze: Let bars sit for 25 minutes, then drizzle glaze on top. Glaze is optional.
Finishing cooling and and cut into bars.
Store cut bars in refrigerator.
