Great flavor and sauce is delicious.
Serve over brown rice.
6 (5-6 oz.) boneless, skinless chicken breasts (see note below)
1 c. chopped onion
2 t. canola oil
1 Tbls. butter
1/3 c. tomato sauce
1 Tbls. cider vinegar
1 Tbls. brown sugar
2 Tbls. orange marmalade
½ c. dried cranberries
½ t. chili powder
½ t. ground allspice
1 t. salt
¼ t. fresh ground pepper
Place onion, oil, butter and chicken breasts in a large skillet. Brown about 3 minutes on each side. Don’t over crowd, do in batches if your skillet isn’t large enough.
Remove the onions and chicken; place in slow cooker.
Mix remaining ingredients in a small bowl until smooth. Pour sauce over chicken breasts.
Cover and cook on low for about 4 hours until chicken is cook through.
Serve over brown rice to catch and enjoy the delicoius sauce.
