Overnight Oats: Orange Oats

Perfect orange flavor!

Overnight oats are a popular breakfast in Switzerland.
They were created by Dr. Maximillian Bircher for his patients in Zurich because it helps to slow digestion and feel fuller, longer.

Ingredients
  • 1 c. rolled or old fashioned oats (not instant or quick cook)

  • ¾ c. orange juice

  • ¼ c. milk or almond milk

  • 2 Tbls. low-fat Greek yogurt (Fage)

  • 1 Tbls. almonds, toasted (plus a few for garnish)

  • 1 Tbls. shredded unsweetened coconut

  • 1 Tbls. dried cranberries (plus a few for garnish)

Instructions

Cover oats with orange juice and soak overnight in refrigerator.

In the morning, add milk, yogurt, almonds, coconut and dried cranberries.

Stir well, and garnish with a few almonds and dried cranberries before serving.
