1/4 c. water
1 c. brown sugar
4-1/2 t. low sodium soy sauce
4-1/2 t. ketchup
1-1/2 t. ground mustard
1-1/2 c. crushed pineapple (DO NOT DRAIN)
1/2 c. cold water
2 Tbls. + 1 t. cornstarch
4-6 lb. Ham
Combine 1/4 c. water, brown sugar, soy sauce, ketchup, mustard and pineapple. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Combine cornstarch and 1/2 c. cold water and stir until smooth; stir into pineapple sauce. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Serve with ham.
For Ham: Place a 4-6 lb. ham on a rack in a shallow roasting pan.
Sprinkle about 1/3 cup brown sugar and half a can of white soda over it.
Cover with foil and bake at 325 degrees for 1-1/4 to 2 hours or until meat thermometer reads 140 degrees and ham is heated through.
