Gingerbread Cut-out Cookies

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c. butter, softened

  • 1/2 c. white sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 c. molasses

  • 1 Tbls. vinegar

  • 2-1/4 c. unbleached all-purpose white flour

  • 1 t. ground ginger

  • 1/2 t. cinnamon

  • 1/4 t. ground cloves

  • 3/4 t. baking soda

Instructions

In a large bowl, cream butter, sugar, and egg; add molasses and vinegar.

By hand, stir in dry ingredients. Chill overnight.

Roll out with flour, cut with gingerbread boy cookie cutter and place onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake at 350 degrees about 8 minutes or until edges are browned.

Cool on wire racks lined with paper towel to absorb the grease.

Frost and decorate as desired.
