Chocolate Kahlua Trifle

Love Kahlua!

Ingredients
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix with pudding in the mix (Devil’s Food)

  • 3/4 c. Kahlua Liquor

  • 1 large and 1 small box of instant chocolate pudding (prepare according to directions)

  • large container of Cool Whip (12 oz.)

  • 6 crushed heath bars

Instructions

Thaw Cool Whip ahead of time in the refrigerator (over night)

Prepare cake mix according to directions. Bake in a greased and floured 9 x 13" pan as indicated on the box. Cool.

Prick top of cake with a fork and pour the Kahlua liquor over entire cake. Let stand about 15 minutes to soak in.

Just before ready to assemble, prepare pudding according to package directions, using a whisk to stir by hand until smooth.

Crumble one-third of the cake into small pieces and layer in a large trifle bowl as follows: 1/3 cake, 1/3 pudding, 1/3 whipped topping and 2 crushed Heath bars.

Repeat until you have 3 layers ending with the last 2 crushed Heath bars on top.
