1 c. butter, softened
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 t. vanilla
2 c. unbleached all-purpose white flour
2-1/2 c. oatmeal (grind in a blender)
1/2 t. salt
1 t. baking powder
1 t. baking soda
12 oz. semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
8 oz. Hershey candy bar (chopped)
1 c. chopped nuts
In a large bowl, using a mixer, cream butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla. Assemble dry ingredients in a separate bowl and mix to blend. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture and mix by hand. Stir in chocolate chips, candy bar and nuts.
Using a cookie scoop, drop balls onto ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 375 degrees for about 8 minutes (they won’t look done, but if baked longer they get too hard).
Cool cookies on wire racks lined with paper towel to absorb the grease.
