1 c. butter, softened
3 c. white sugar
6 eggs
1 Tbls. vanilla extract
2-1/4 c. all-purpose unbleached white flour
1/2 c. baking cocoa
1 t. baking powder
6 oz. (1 c.) dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips
6 oz. (1 c.) vanilla-flavored chips
1 c. walnuts, chopped
Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Stir into creamed mixture just until blended (do not over mix). Stir in half of the chips and nuts.
Pour into a greased 15" x 10" x 1" baking pan. Sprinkle with remaining chips and nuts.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Cool.
Makes 3-4 dozen.
