2 c. (1 lb.) baby carrots or sliced carrots
1 c. water
2 Tbls. butter
1 t. sugar
1/2 t. salt
coarse ground pepper, before serving
Melt butter in medium fry pan, stir in water, sugar and salt; add carrots and stir to coat.
Simmer covered until carrots are tender, about 15-20 minutes.
Uncover, stir over high heat until carrots are glazed (1-2 minutes) and add a little fresh pepper before serving.
