Makes a lot, so you can freeze some for future meals
1 lb. ground sirloin
1 lb. Italian sausage (or pkg. of Jenni-O hot or sweet or hot Italian turkey sausages, casings removed)
1 medium onion, chopped
8 cloves garlic, minced
3 (14 oz.) cans diced tomatoes (do not drain)
3 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
1 Tbls. sugar
2 Tbls. dried oregano
1 Tbls. dried basil
2 t. dried marjoram
1 t. salt
1/2 t. pepper
spaghetti, or your favorite pasta (we use whole wheat or Dreamfield’s)
Cook meat in large skillet until browned, drain fat.
Transfer meant to 5-quart slow cooker. Stir in all remaining ingredients, mix well.
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
Serve over your favorite pasta.
