8 cups of torn mixed salad greens (red leaf, romaine, head lettuce)
2 c. fresh strawberries, sliced
1 can (11 oz.) mandarin oranges, drained
1 small sweet onion, sliced into thin rings
1/3 c. slivered almonds
4 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
1/4 c. sugar
2 Tbls. cider vinegar
1-1/4 t. lemon juice
2 Tbls. honey
1/2 t. paprika
1/2 t. ground mustard
1/2 t. grated onion
1/4 t. celery seed
1/4 c. canola oil
dash of salt
Dressing: In a 2-cup microwave-safe bowl, combine all dressing ingredients except oil and microwave, uncovered, on high for 1-1/2 to 2 minutes until sugar is dissolved. Whisk in oil. Cover and refrigerate until serving.
In a large salad bowl, combine the greens, strawberries, oranges, onion, almonds and bacon.
Drizzle with dressing and gently toss to coat.
